So I quite randomly got an invitation to go to the 2007 VGA's a day before the show which I'd have normally declined because it was such short notice, but something about this made me decide I might as well go.  I meet up with the two guys I'm going with and we wait in line for about 2 hours before we get into the pit at the very front and sides of the stage.  It's only after I get down in there that I understand exact how big an event this is.  After a bit of a long wait the show starts and who should walk out on stage hosting the thing but SAMUEL L. JACKSON!  That was a trip, lemme tell ya.  Afterwards stars come out left and right; Dana White, Hayden Christensen, Dave Navaro, Patton Oswald, Don King... even semi crap-tacular stars like Tila Tequila and even that ********* of a ********** Chris Angel.  I really dislike him.  Though this brush with Hollywood was a trip in itself the highlight of the night was hands down getting to be no more than 6 feet away from STAN LEE O_O.
OOOOOOH YES MY FRIENDS.  I can die happy now.  Stan Lee (the CREATOR) comes out before they start filming and talks to us a bit.  There's easily 40 feet of stage for him to cover and he walks right up to me!  As he walked away I cried out, "Excelsior!" and he turned around and smiled at me.  I am a happy Jack.
The rest of the show was killer as well.  Saw the Foo Fighters perform 2 songs, Kid Rock put on a hell of a show even though I don't much care for his music, and coming in a close 2nd for the highlight of the night was running into an old friend of mine, Lauren, who was looking exceptionally gorgeous and making the  two guys I was with jealous as hell by getting hugs and pics.  Not why I did it but it was a nice perk.
Afterwards I hit up Hennessey's which was fun.  Ended up taking care of a few drunks and such which was a change. =p  So Hennessey's... yeah I'll be going back there again.  Nice place.
Alright, well that was my very awesome VGA experience and if you want to watch what I enjoyed and possibly catch a glimpse of me on TV, the 2007 VGA's  will, I'm sure, air again on SpikeTV sometime in the not too distant future so do keep an eye out.
